little noise at the end of a sample
ez, so ive got a synth sample im using at the moment and cuz its a little 4 bar sample ive chopped out, at the end of the bar it makes that clip kinda noise, cant figure out how to stop it. normally if its an audio track i just lower the vol right at the end where its clips but i need it in midi so i can change notes but i dont have the volume option in midi, im using ableton
thanks in advance

Re: little noise at the end of a sample
why dont you just fade out the sample BEFORE you put it into the sampler then?

Well depending what sampler your using, if you have individual control over envelopes for each sample just tighten up the decay. Skimpi's method is flawless though.

Re: little noise at the end of a sample
I'm not sure if this is your issue or not but...If your using ableton's sampler i'm sure you know you can adjust the sample size and set it to loop etc etc. assuming you have it on loop and its clicking at the end each time you may want to click the "snap on" button in the bottom left. at that point the bars that adjust the sample loop will automatically snap into place where the waveforms meet up on each end...if that doesnt work you can always zoom in very critically after youve turned the snap button on and make sure the waveform starts and ends at visually similar points. im not sure if that makes much sense or this answer is even close to what your looking for, but hope that helps man.

Re: little noise at the end of a sample
thanks for your replys much appreciated, but nothings fucking working here, doing my head in over this. in audio they loop fine and dont 'click' but as soon as i put it in a midi simpler it clicks, anyone have any other ideas?
Re: little noise at the end of a sample
are you looping this sample? cos if you are the click could be at the start of the loop instead of at the end?
