AVG Free Edition will do you the job been using it for years without a problem.

AVG is prob the best free, if you want to pay NOD32 is the best.

Kaspersky is the best period.

You can find it through the usual channels, and the reg code will either come through email, or through the usual channels

The best I have used is NOD32, it has never let me down, updates regularly, and uses very little in the way of system resources. If you use a torrent site, you can find a perpetual trial version (which is identical to the full retail version), mine currently has 16715384 days left for me to decide if I like it or not

Alternatively you could use Avast, for a completely legal, free AV.

if u can find a copy of norton corporate edition, that'll be the best one to go for.

install the workstation version and away u go....uses minimal memory.

if there was a way of sending it i would...got a cracked copy....yay free updates for life

totaly agree with u mate...but if u use the corporate edition it uses absolute minimal ram. obviously it would be easier to get avg----hard to get coprorate edition.

I tried AVG and it didn't do anything for me even though I knew where a virus was located ,which was bloody annoying. Bullguard is the one, free 2 month trial with all the stuff you get with the paid for version, and the live support help fixed my prob in a matter of mins.

BUMP for the BullGuard.. they pulled me outta some bad-boy pron problems... haha.

all about the avg.. little to no ram usage and the antivirus database is stored online, so it keeps valuable hd space for more important things... real good for a highspeed user.. and best of all, ITS FREE!

i had bullguard completely fry a puter because it couldn't play well with other progs.

avg is great for a free prog. used it for years, but it failed to stop a very nasty virus that norton corporate nailed on another puter.

norton corporate has been on most of my computers since that nasty virus, and while i have had to fight off a few nasty buggers, it, in conjunction with ewido (which is now run by lavasoft, the adaware people) have kept things fairly solid.

what i am looking for is a decent software firewall. i have sygate pro (not updatable anymore cuz it got sold), don't want zone alarm, and have tried a few others that were so complex to figure out i just couldn't get on the net at all. i use a router/hardware firewall, and sygate works pretty well, but i am curious as to what others are using.
