Everybody loves them... mostly... sort of...

Anyone got one in progress/finished?

My top ten so far:

1 Fela Kuti - Sorrow, Tears & Blood - WRASSE
2 Ebo Taylor - Heaven - Strut
3 Theo Parrish - Heal Yourself and Move - Peacefrog
4 Omar S - Psychadelic Photosynthesis - FXHE
5 Steffi - Yours - Ostgut-ton
6 Julio Bashmore - Battle for Middle You - PMR
7 Mr Tickle - Grinding- Roska K&S
8 Jodeci - Freekin' You (MK Dub) - MCA
9 Horace Andy - Satisfy Me - Studio 1/Digikiller
10 Universal Robot Band - Barely Breaking Even - Moonglow
11 Sylvester - You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) - Fantasy
12 MonstaBoy Ft Denzie -I'm Sorry -Locked On
13 The Weeknd - House of Balloons / Glass Table Girls - Self Released

(it's records I bought this year, surprisingly only 3 of these tracks came out in 2011)

Five most listened to/enjoyed:

Kendrick Lamar - Section 80
Tyler the Creator - Goblin (yes, skatehipster)
Zomby - Dedication
Anika - Anika (this may have been 2010 actually, but the best single - No One's There - certainly came out this year)
Björk - Biophillia

Was expecting to be putting Joker on here at the start of the year, but his was a bit disappointing, I thought... maybe it'll grow on me. Special shout to SBTRKT for managing to make a genuinely listenable pop album without sacrificing all his credibility.

Oh, and the "I want to make sweet love to you" award for best pop crooner goes to Lana del Rey.... obviously.... :U:

Would be hard to get down to single tunes, and can't decide on an order but new albums I've been most into this year:

SBTRKT- SBTRKT
Zomby- Dedication
Shabazz Palaces- Black Up
Emika- Emika
Kode 9 & Spaceape- Black Sun
Gil Scott Heron & Jamie XX- We're new here (also the original album)
Martyn- Ghost People
The Weeknd- House of Baloons
Beastie Boys- Hot Sauce Committee Part 2
Silkie- City Limits 2
Aftica Hitech- 93 million miles

How did I forget all these? Did they all come out in 2011?

Beasties, Martyn and Silkie definitely make my top ten.

Are you really telling this to people who belong to a music forum and spend their lives digging out obscure music or making tunes nobody will ever hear?

No...shit...Sherlock :p
