Ron Paul
Since the GOP has pretty much shot themselves in the foot, and Obama hasn't done anything, I'm curious to hear what people think about Ron Paul.

Re: Ron Paul
Yeah I looked for one but couldn't find it. Why do you think he'd be worse than any other candidate though? He's always stood by his convictions. He's anti-war, anti bank/corporate fuck the people type shit, and seems to have a plan that'll help the US in the long term as far as foreign and domestic policy is concerned.

I don't really trust anyone who gets as far as running for President of the USA. Just vote for Obama, at least you'll have
a cool guy as president.

Re: Ron Paul
I'm not interested in voting for the "cool guy" though. I want somebody with integrity, morals, and foresight. Obama did walk into a shitty situation, but that's no excuse now.AxeD wrote:I don't really trust anyone who gets as far as running for President of the USA. Just vote for Obama, at least you'll have

The only cool thing Obama can do right about now is veto the Indefinite detention bill.

Re: Ron Paul
Yeah, but that wasn't what we're talking about. Corporations don't choose 1 side to endorse. Paul would love nothing more than to strip away any financial regulatory reform being sought, and voted against dodd frand and virtually any regulatory policy. Name one corporate endorsement for Jon Huntsman. You can't. Does that make him anti-corporate?Siderealdb wrote:Corporations have the same rights as any citizen now.AllNightDayDream wrote:Corporations don't give endorsements to candidates

Re: Ron Paul
Well Jon Huntsman's father is the 937th wealthiest person in the world, so he probably doesn't need an endorsement. Ron Paul is about getting rid of the bureaucracy in Washington, and giving the states more power. Although I can't agree with him on a few things, I'd rather have someone who believes and does what's right for the country, than some douche out to get votes.AllNightDayDream wrote:Yeah, but that wasn't what we're talking about. Re: Ron Paul
Isn't it almost completely hypothetical to entertain the thought of Ron Paul getting elected? Do you really think that'd be allowed to happen, given that politics and corporate culture are so intertwined now?

I've done this topic to death. I just wish people would look into the actual issues beyond all the "freedom & liberty" nonsense.
