Feeling Cloudboat. Kinda like post rock (Explosions in the Sky, This Will Destroy you) meets bass music
Re: live dubstep bands
AUCAN live kick ass.
BIO from their page
"Combining principles of experimental rock, dubstep, and downtempo, AUCAN created a unique live-electronic style, energy, and experience. Since their DNA EP they started to fully combine synthetic electro basses with real drums being one of the first bands ever playing a deep electronic set with a rock attitude.
"Black Rainbow", their third release, is characterised by a more refined hypnotic dub. This album brought them to collaborate with some of the most relevant independent international dubstep/IDM/hip hop artists on several remixes and featurings (among which Scorn, MCDalek, Shigeto, Niveau Zero, Spex MC former Asian Dub Foundation, Robot Koch, Broken Haze, Ambassadeurs) included in the "Black rainbow remixes" album that will be released in April 2012.
Beside being a band, Aucan work in a music studio producing and working on their own recordings, artworks and remixes, pushing their music worldwide through independent labels (based in EU and JAP) and free internet downloads ("Black Rainbow" scored over a 100 thousand downloads in the US during October 2011)."
Since 2009 the band played over 300 concerts across Europe. They shared the stage with Placebo, Matmos, Antipop Consortium, Tricky, Fuck Buttons, Steve Aoki, Dinosaur Jr, Crookers, PVT, Sole and The Skyrider band, Ramadanman, Black Heart Procession, Lars Hornveth, ZU, DJ Food, Architecture in Helsinki and others.
