One time i was banging loudly and i ejected some kids in bits and pieces. But I hadn't considered it a bad thing, your DVDR probably had some pent up sexual frustrations.

cheap dvdr's. stay away from them. there's loads of info on this. the plastics they use for these low cost dvdr's are composites with sand and other shit additives added to them to reduce the manufacturing cost. in some cases the lazer is literally melting straight through the dvdrs while they're spinning in your drive. that's why when they come apart inside you hear the bang.
at work we bought a spindle of 100 cheapo dvdrs off those ebay sites, and never again. out of the first 10, 5 split apart during the writing stage.
waste.

yup- happens alot. i work in a pc repair call centre. i think its to do with the speed in which they spin the disks these days. also to do with quality of disks.skrewface wrote:This just happend to me... I have no clue why. It was a Lite-On Lightscribe DVDR
