pluck/fast attack sub bass

Post by oxith_lo » Wed Dec 28, 2011 12:06 am

im looking for some tips on how to make a sub bass with a thick pluck, kind of like a bass guitar but with a deep knock at the attack. I guess a good example is in no more no less by kryptic minds, maybe phatty drummer by skream, and theres more but cant think right now. ive got hi res and low cutoff and its defnitely what im looking for just not as extreme of a pluck. if further clarification is needed let me know. thanks in advance.

set the pitch envelope so that it starts higher up but quickly drops down to the desired bass note. This will give it more of a transient.
...in my opinion
