The reload actually has a much longer history, and was established in the 20th Century as part of Jamaican soundsystem culture.

If you reload a track it is usually down to a great crowd response when the tune drops and they wheel the record back and start from the edge of the vinyl. Unless you're Coki and then you just reload every single track you play.
