Remix Advice?

Post by yayaya » Wed Jan 11, 2012 11:43 am

am just wondering i've never ever sent part of my tracks before but
someone has ask me to send them separate part of my track so he could remix it
not sure how to do this
1. is it the same as sending stems for a collab?

2. do i send stems?
or just the samples and every sound in each channel?

that mean the synth and bass that i used and the melody?

also my DAW is FL Studios..

please help and thanks.

how do i ripped every part in fl too?

hahaha

sure

Stems would be the best option.
Also not every stem.
Just the core stems I`d say.
Don`t send sweeps n risers n stuff.
Main hook, drums, bass, etc.

Not sure of FL for ripping but Reaper and other DAWs allow you to solo and render each track.
You generally have an option to render the entire track as individual stems.

There is a bounce project stems option in FL Studio, have a look in the manual.

Failing that, I'll try and grab a screenshot when I get home.
