Night Slugs Sound

Post by ketamine » Wed Jan 18, 2012 10:11 pm

This is the way forward. I want more.

Name names.

And if there's a "genre" for it then that's even better... :6:

Names not on the NS roster, but with similar sounds:

Coni, Nguzunguzu, Bad Autopsy, Cedaa (more on a juke thing though), Clicks & Whistles, Contakt, D.O.K. (on a grime tip), Distal, Funkystepz (to an extent), Goldffinch (to an extent), Redinho, Lando Kal (to an extent)...

sure I'm still missing a few crucial ones.

I'd do terrible things for a nicely priced NSWL007. Might have to just bight the bullet and fork out 30 quid for it though

Man for the longest time I've been trying to get into the sound, but I really just can't. I've even got a mosca release and a few others, I'll continue to listen and hopefully it will eventually grow on me.

Edit: Holy shit, thank you so much original poster for posting this thread!

After I read through here I decided to go give some other NS a listen. Put on Kingdom's Dreama EP, this is fucking amazing! Where the fuck has my mind been? I'm loving this one, about to dive a little deeper here.

Missed out on Jam City - Ecstasy when it came about so sunk £20 buying it last month. One of my favourite pieces though, the whole EP is beastly.

There's quite a few releases I just can't get into, but the ones I do like, I REALLY like. The Jacques Greene track on the Allstars sampler is beyond sick.
