Studio One

Post by hxczach » Sat Jan 21, 2012 5:42 am

Has anyone used Studio One? http://studioone.presonus.com/
I'm fooling around in the demo right now and it seems pretty nifty, but I was wondering if anyone has produced anything in it.

Never really heard it mentioned by anyone, perhaps there's a reason for that. Maybe its just a prettier DubTurbo? lol

no its not a prettier dub turbo. there are a few people on here that use it. but its definitely a very capable daw. some people say it feels like logic. it has its quirks, but they all do. the biggest difference between logic and studio one is logics stock plugs are better.

I honestly like the interface. Maybe its just because its new and sparkly to me right now, who knows. A lot of the things you'd want to quickly access seem to be tucked away in collapsible windows, but can be easily accessed with just a click. It feels pretty clean, and doesn't give you an overwhelmed cluttered feeling.

yeah man its definitely a nice daw. i don't think id personally buy it since theres not as much support to learn it but if you feel comfortable with it go for it.

i have logic and reason so the last thing i need is another daw lol.

The artist version is on sale right now (for about 20€). It can't load 3rd party plugins you can still upgrade it and save some money...

I'm the only Studio One user in this forum I guess. Great daw, used to be okay but now it's great, feels like a simplified logic. Stock plugins sucks though, but I'm alright with WOW, camelphat and absynth.

Not the only one ;-)
I think it's a well thought out and easy to use DAW. I've been using it more than Reaper lately.
