Vocal Sample Effects, Editing Mixing Tips Thread

Post by enthawizeguy » Thu Jan 26, 2012 5:18 am

So I did a search in the bible and the search engine and found nothing.

Can we make a thread where we provide tips and tricks on effects and mixing of vocal samples in our songs. Post ideas, tutorials and whatever. I just started using a lot of samples from movies, vinyl etc and feel like this would be a great topic to discuss. Please refrain from asking where i can get vocal samples as there are tons of topics on that already.

Thanks in advance ,
Ian

well, i've written my own little midi slicer-preset in ableton which works pretty well. it uses an mpc w/ it's release bound to a macro. leaves you a lot of freedom considering the lengths. get a vocoder or melodyne afterwards and you're good to go.

i guess i've seen it here:
