How to make sliding snare?

Looking for instructions on how to synthesize the sweep before a snare? It comes like a second before the snare then finishes with the snare hitting. Wondering if anyone knows how to do this thanks.

duplicate snare, reverse it, place it before the front-wards snare, and turn down the level of the reversed snare so that it doesnt kill the transient's impact.

Another possibility is to use a simple white noise riser. The advantage to this is that it's easier to get the envelope just how you want it. The disadvantage is, it's white noise, so if you were really wanting a sound which isn't close to white noise, this obviously won't get you what you want.

or put reverb on your sample bounce it then reverse it if you want a longer rise, if you put alot of reverb on it you can then automate the volume of the sample when youv reversed it for the envelope

^this is my favorite technique for both drums and vocals, I find it yields the best results
