RMY - Signal 03 (Dubstep/Minimal)

Post by Additive » Tue Feb 07, 2012 1:20 pm

Hello,

I would like to introduce to you my new project RMY which is purely dubstep/breaks project. In this work I'm exploring the deepest edge of dubstep genre with very soft synthesized sounds. I want you to check this work out and put your mark on it. As you maybe interested all the sounds synthesized using MaxMSP software and brought together in Ableton Live.

Soundcloud

Thanks in advance for your feedback,
Best Ruslan
Sound is no longer exists, visuals are no longer real. But why we think of sound as a whole and visuals as a plurality?

some nice sounds and the sub is nice but the track seems a bit long to me. maybe some more variation would make it better as a long track

Thanks for your feedback olly, yes, this seems obvious to me. Howerver as a part of a longer mix of tracks this could fit in a 7 minute time format.

Pretty solid work man, and going off of what olly said, a cool variation trick that you could maybe try would to do a velocity fill on the hi-hats every so often. Like a short little crescendo on the hi-hat, like 6-8 hits or so I think would sound pretty wicked. Just my 2 cents though. Keep it up!

Thanks for the advice ReachZenith, I'll definately use more variations through out my further productions. This one is the genre defining and I welcome any comments if you consider this dubstep sound or not. Yet I'm aware that it has no connection with the harder edge of dubstep tunes.

Best, Ruslan
