ableton but I guess it's just because that's the one I'm most comfortable with. whenever I'm at my mate's house who's got fl I'm like "damn son!". if I had a copy I'd use it.
I don't care much about reason though. Yeah it's a beast but I don't like the interface and I can't be arsed to rewire. If it came as a VST I'd probably use it all the time.

I use reason rewired into a daw.
I am looking for help developing my sound in house
It sounds easy to make but I feel i'm missing the point.
Some of it is all drums
some is bassline
some has tearout LFO leads on it
and others are all samples and loops
Do you guys record the whole arrangement with SFX and buildups + drop or does the DJ do all that shit with FX and filters and mixing?
I'm confused because a friend of mine showed me his stuff and he just records the MIDI and uses his DJ mixer to play the beats
I'm more used to rendering audio of all my tracks and doing an arangement/mixdown but i haven't gotten it right.
