Tribal/groovy dubstep

Post by the_disconekt » Sun Feb 26, 2012 11:48 pm

Been looking for some tribal like dubstep, stuff with groovy percussions that make you want to get grooving on the dance floor while keep the sub bass flowing and the minimal halftime feel.

stuff like this:

Im with u on this man. There should be more tribal dubstep around. I noticed that I really like the sounds that bongos make in conjunction to a dubstep track.

Notable examples are: fally ranking (vivek remix), thru the blinds by kromestar, and lean forward and left Leg Out by Mala

the tune that eventually became "how to move" started out as a blatant ripoff of "Truly Dread," so.... +1 for truly dread ;)

the flip of this is the one for me... but oddly not on youtube:

kode and badawi:

this was really the vibe that got me into dubstep in 2005; the fact that it's largely disappeared in clubs is dissapointing to me. the interest in the really rhythmic side of dubstep has eroded in the states over the last 2 years.
