Question about using Ozone on tracks?
Hey guys/gals,
Ive started messing with Ozone 4 for a few days on my full bounced track. I use all of the modules on it (except the reverb for the most part) and it is really making my tracks sound good. SO I sent a new track to a buddy of mine and he told me that I should use Ozone's exciter and dynamic compressor on all of my synth tracks and leave the drums alone (besides regular processing), and after I bounce my track to only put on Waves L3 and Cytomic Glue for "mastering".
So basicaly what I'm asking is:
does anyone put Ozone on individual tracks? If so, which tracks do you put it on and which modules do you use?
If you use Ozone on your project file do you still put Ozone after you bounce it down? And if so, Do you still use all of the modules? Or Do you just put a few things when Mastering (like the L3 or Glue, tip).
thanks for the help I could use some clarification.
cheers

Re: Question about using Ozone on tracks?
usually it goes this way:
if you have money to buy waves L3 and ozone,i think u should knew
where to put those plugins.

Re: Question about using Ozone on tracks?
I think thats a little rude. Forgive me for not having all of the knowledge about equipment. Just because I have the money to buy the L3 (which I do buy my plugs) doesnt mean I know everything about it. You learn new stuff everyday. As I said in the OP a friend of mine suggested that and I wanted to ask other knowledgeable people on if that tip is correct or not.

Re: Question about using Ozone on tracks?
Yeah your friend is correct. I do the same also with synths and some other random noises. I still have to learn more to perfect the settings but I usually use a preset that sounds the best and tweak it to learn. A lot of producers do this and a great example/proof of this is Swedish House Mafia. By the end of the video they talk about putting Ozone on individual tracks for mixing but if I were you I'll watch the whole thing and other artist videos from Future Music also.

Re: Question about using Ozone on tracks?
that was a cool video thanks for posting that. I'd actually seen that a while ago but it was good to watch it again and see what more I understood. And the part about Ozone was cool too. I might have to give that a try.
so daeMTHFKNkim, then if you do put Ozone on some of your synths/basses/noises, like how SHM say to put on whatever they want to really pop, then what do you do when you master? Do you bounce the track and then use Ozone again or what?

Re: Question about using Ozone on tracks?
Yeah no problem. I'm just like you. Learning Ozone at the moment so I'm just experimenting. Haven't really figured out the exact order how I should do things but it's usually EQ/Dynamics/Exciter/TheOtherEQ/Stereo/Separate Limiter that isn't Ozone cuz I find the one for Ozone confusing as of right now. I'm still a noob at all this also. Just 1 step ahead I guess.
Would anyone kindly help us noobies out? Any Ozone pros?

Re: Question about using Ozone on tracks?
