made this the other day and would love some constructive criticism on it,feel like theres more to add but i dont no what at the moment,drums are pretty samey but i will change them if necessary,so yea have a listen and tell me your thoughts pleaseSoundcloud

Snare is very weak, lacks any real power to it. Mid range bass you've got is very samey samey, could do with some switch up both on the notes being played and the automation/effects you've got on it.

The snare could use a little more crunchiness to it. Perhaps layering the snare with a secondary snare, pitched down an octave, with an increased resonance might help with it.


The build up at approximately the 0:40 time, seems a little too pushed back and washed out by the synth in front of it. Perhaps try a side chain compression on the synth using the drum for reference might be helpful there.

At approximately the 2:14 time, you have another buildup, but that one comes across stronger and not as washed out. Compare what you've done there with the earlier one and see what changes you made, as that buildup somehow seems stronger.

ah ok the first drop is the synth on its own,wasnt sure if i liked it but it sorta worked however im thinking of scrapping it!! will try and find another snare to layer it with,want the snare to have a real good impact! i agree it gets quite samey i lost momentum and it kinda just came out as that,any ideas on how to switch it up wood be great!! i have had a few ideas after a joint then gone to bed and forgotten them,so please any suggestions will b great! as an idea though how did you find it??

i like this one :D melodic bassline is rather interesting and quite catchy which is a good thing!

thanks,needs some switch ups as people hav said but havent had a good look into what yet,think i will listen to some music for ideas! cheers though,at least theres someone who likes it haha
