'Greg Sanders aka Distance has been at the core of the Dubstep sound since its birth. Along with a legendary few producers such as Skream, Benga, Pinch, Cyrus and Digital Mystikz, Distance helped forged the now globally dominant sound known as Dubstep.
As distinct as it is powerful and intricate, Distances sound draws on his background of heavy metal and experimental industrial music. The eclectic range of influences that have claim to his foundation range from the likes of Sepultura, Pantera and Fear Factory. Never afraid to walk his own line Greg Sanders has managed to unite this unlikley spectrum of influence in to an uncompromising, versatile and unique body of work. As his early productions grew and evolved the momentum of his sound started gathering an impressive fanbase of influential figures. Radio 1s legendary presenter John Peel championed Distances early advances, and an endorsement from Mary Ann Hobbs on the pivotol Dubstep Warz show is regarded as the seminal moment in Dubstep history.
