Ding Dong - Badman (1stFiest Remix) [Feedback Please]

Post by 1stfiest » Thu Mar 08, 2012 6:39 pm

Started remixing this tune.
Here is an unfinished version, not too happy with the first bassline as it was really just an idea. Not too sure where too go with it either.

Tune is very quiet, not sure if it's supposed to be liked that? Feel the vocal sample you've used is very repetitive. The mid range bass sound is very high in the mix compared to everything else, and kinda takes over when it hits.

Thanks for your feedback Wub, i'll be sure to make a few edits of this track, one without the bitcrushed bass and ill try and cut out some of the mid ranged bass on another edit. Also i plan to sample the vocals a bit better after the intro as i agree they do get a bit too repetitive. atm i got all the bass levels peaking so i'll be sure too but some limiters on and compress the drums and vocals a bit better in the final mix.
