This is my first post here on Dubstep Forum. Just looking for comments & criticism on the tracks.
My name is Chris, 17. I'm a producer from Oklahoma. There's not much of a scene here. No events here and one of my shows, which I rarely can ever do, was shut down by the cops last night merely 20 minutes into my set. I'm not gonna lie, it's kind of disappointing here, and nobody here really wants to get out or do anything rather than just listen to dubstep on their computers or ipods. I, on the other hand, would rather go out and explore the scene. You know, meet people that are into the same thing as I am. Yet, considering I'm just 1 year shy of 18, I can't really be involved in the scene here too much. I'm not too sure how it works in other places, considering I've only lived in Oklahoma, been just a few places in the U.S., Mexico, Germany, Austria, and never played a show outside OKC. I really just got into electronic music when I found how big of a deal it was in Europe after participating in a summer-long exchange in Germany and Austria. By that time, I never knew about dubstep or drum n bass. I just knew about House and Trance. The only dubstep song I heard prior to leaving the U.S. was the "Guided Relaxation Dub" by Borgore. Once I came to Europe, the people I met on the exchange trip showed me dubstep. I only knew about it through that one Borgore song, and they gave me a name for that whole genre and introduced me to Rusko, Caspa, Bassnectar, Borgore and Flux Pavillion. Later on I became in love with the whole genre, old dubstep and brostep alike. Since then, I've been making dubstep, drum n bass and electro-house with Ableton. Let me know what you think!
