is their any way to make the flute noise using a vst instead of having to use samples?
the guy told me he made the flute himself but didnt say how he did

theres a series of free ethnic woodwind samples on freesound, thats the first note of one of them, I know the expression of it anywhere, Ive used those samples in sooo many different tunes... Yes, it's possible. Not saying its easy, though. Best way would be sampling, but you could study the harmonics and try to recreate it in a synth.
