Yeah that is the best thing ever. I haven't gotten to the point where my friends like my beats, but I'm getting closer. Thanks for the compliment btw.

just found out rv7000 in reason has an eq in it so you can decide what frequencies are affected :corndance:

I just play people my tunes mixed in with other tunes and see their reactions, then maybe tell them afterwards. I might drop a 'check this one out i've been digging it' before I play it and see what they think. If I say here listen to my tune it's either always a 'wow great man' when the tune is shit or half done, or people are afraid to say anything negative.

ive heard really good things about that one. like it has multiple algorithms to choose from and that. wouldnt switch to reason for it, but its great to hear that software designers are getting things right

yup and then you can also adjust a bunch of stuff within each algorithm

i'm a bit fed up with cubase's built-in reverbs. well, the convolution-based one is alright. the standard reverb is a bit bland though. my focusrite interface came with a focusrite soft-reverb that sounds great but has very little control.

though i do like limiting myself and trying to make a sound with what i've got. so im holding off buying any new stuff. i just really like reverb
