I dig this hard. Bass swoosh is a little klanky in the bottomshelf. other than that it's a solid tune to listen to.

Yeh I noticed that earlier today when I listened to this tune on a pair of headphones....There was no bass at all! lol I went back in tonight and did my best to recompress everything and EQ'd a few things differently, I also added and subtracted a few parts but the tune is generally the same, though I hope with a little more sub bass sound. Heres the new updated version so tell me if you like the few changes I put in :)

But I do want to add, If anyone has any tips on creating a good sub-bass sound I would appreciate it. For this song the sub-bass is made with 3xosc....but I agree with ehbrums that 3xosc consistantly delivers a weak sound. Anyone have tips for creating a more prominent sub bass?

sub bas should just be one sine wave with nothing else on it, i was referring to your midranges as being weak, try adding chorus and unison it thicken it up :W:

Yeah your basses are really thin indeed, but instead of trying to fatten everything up with plugins, you should back into Massive (right?) and play some more with filters, distortion and possibly phase modulation. Also, your sound is quite high so try lowering one of your oscillators one octave.

For subbass: just take a pure sinewave and automate it slightly like the midrange bass to give it some flow. A good trick for subbass is also to give it a little bit of harmonic distortion, so it will sound good even on crappy speakers. (that will give the sub more high harmonics). Lowpass that shit hard. If you're using Massive for this don't forget to turn up the Amp Enveloppe's (4) decay and sustain up all the way.
