Post by WhosZena » Mon May 21, 2012 8:06 pm

Slowly developed a hate for itunes, it hijacked my HD, but its all good was waiting for a reason to get rid of it :h:
what is everybody using at the moment?
something maybe more intelligent...

I know a few guys that swear by Winamp, but I tried it and it felt too outdated.

Foobar all day everyday, will play what ever you throw at it and has excellent customization

FOOBAR2000. Really the only way for me and can't go back. It doesn't have the fancy skins like Winamp. But still can be made to look clean and more importantly: practical. It's much easier to edit large playlist or orden your music in particular ways. It's extremely customisable. And it plays everything as many have stated: FLAC, mp3, WAV... It's also excellent for editing mp3 tags.

I've used them all, and though I applaud programs like VLC, for music foobar sets the standard.

Does Foobar and all this other jazz work like itunes where you can plug your ipod in and manage what goes on it?

Does Foobar have FLAC support per chance? I'd love some super-high quality music.

Shit I meant to type Winamp  I've been following this thread all day haha.
When I used it I just put a few mixtapes on it and generally didn't like the layout so I deleted it.

On another note, does anyone know of any good iTunes Taskbar plugins for Windows 7? I've been scouting around for one for ages now.

I've used Winamp 2.x for as long as I can remember. I have an m3u playlist containing every piece of music I own.

WinAmp all the way.

Can save playlist files from it at work, then dump them straight into Nero when I get home to burn the track orders I want.
