I think you need to worry about mixing more than mastering. Your kick and snare aren't punching through very well. I highly recommend saturating kicks with the plugins Sausage Fattener by Dada Life or FerricTDS. Phatten ->>> transient shape ->>> compress is usually my FX chain. With that being said, you also need to notch out a place for your kick to punch through. I'm not sure how familiar you are with EQing. I recommend bussing all your drop sounds to one bus and then putting an EQ with the frequency 100 HZ notched out (100 varies depending on the kick.) You could also sidechain. Use a very light sidechain on the bus you have all the basses going to and make it trigger by the kick and snare. Have the attack all the way to .01ms or .0ms and the release also very low. This makes the mix duck really fast for the kick and the snare to punch through. But remember to start out with a good sample or the processing you do won't really help very much.nek0 wrote:bump
