Re: Light Stories - Slow Me Down
Listening right now.
Love the intro, feels like you drop into a tune that had already started (in a good way), voice sample helps build the tension.
Not a big fan of the arpeggio.
About 0:50
Drums drop and I think the pads in the background are really nice but not the grungy bass.
1:23
Mellower part with bleepy high freq comes and it sounds a lot more interesting to me. Makes me think that dropping right into this part would be nicer.
It's a nice melancholic feel with this part.
Good melody with the DX100-y bass (I think that's the one it sounds like) and the nice sub holding its own in the back. This gated-like a a a a a a is very nice, the sound, the delay, filter... all of it.
Breaks into the arpeggio... hmmm. Still like the sample, the pitched down pad... but not the arpeggio!
Overall, production-wise, I feel it sounds a bit too harsh overall, but drums are punchy and everything in its place.

Re: Light Stories - Slow Me Down
Song-wise it's sounding good. From a mix point of view everything seems a bit to distant, try easing off on the reverb. Choose which elements definitely need to be in the background and leave most of the 'verb for them, the other things take it off and it should give you a bit more of a 3d mix.
