If i were to split my kik bus into 3 diff frequency bands...what would they be?
I understand that it really depends on the kiks involved etc but i'd like to know if there are generally any good starting points for frequency bands for my multiband compressors.
Thanks much!!!

low ~100Hz
hi ~5kHz
But as you said, it does differ depending what samples you're using. Solo each part and mess around with the frequencies. & using a spectrum analyser helps to see what frequencies are peaking/more present

I would also like to ask how you managed to spell "kick" wrong so many times in a row?

Also, wouldn't it be easier to just to find a subby kick, a snappy one with less low and more high end and then maybe add a hi hat on top for abit of sparkle. In my experience low passed kicks sound boomy and crap so I wouldn't recommend doing that. If you can find a decent kick sample to begin with you shouldn't need to do much to it anyway.

I don't see why somebody shouldn't do it if they want to?
