So if you check out the tracks on my page you'll see my dub tracks are a little bit unconventional from the genre in terms of sounds and composition, but it maintains some important elements within the last three years. I'm going for less of a club feel and something people would jam in their car or just in their free time.
Please give me ANY criticism/feedback you can. I need some unbiased, outsider info on this one before I submit it to blogs and what not.
Appreciate it guys!

Not really hearing any dubstep or opera in this at all...
Also, maybe lay off the crash cymbals.

Re: The Ides of March - A DUBSTEP OPERA
I felt it was pretty operatic, but I can see how it diverges from dubstep enough. It maintains some elements of the genre, but this is more like a band substitution. A rock anthem via electronica.
I'm using four different crashes from the Vengeance sample package imported into Ableton as well as a ride and splash 8 bars after the interlude. Which parts exactly seemed troubling and what should I do instead? Rides, chinas, splashes, silence, etc?

Re: The Ides of March - A DUBSTEP OPERA
I just would include less of them, smash... smash... smash smash smash isn't really that appealing to the ears. Dubstep is a blend of Dub and 2 Step Garage, and is oriented around sub bass.
There's not really much sub if any and it's an afterthought. This was mostly composed of melodic layers, which aren't really the main focus for most non-brostep or midrange. This sounds more like a house tune with the rhythm rearranged.
Lol @ rock anthem via electronica.

Re: The Ides of March - A DUBSTEP OPERA
I like the idea! Though it would be quite hard getting a good mix of both dubstep and opera. The one thing i absolutely love in opera is all the "fill" between the big Arias. It seems that it was at those parts that the composer really composed something unique. Listen to some Puccini, tosca, its a very good opera. Hope that will fill you with inspiration.
For the track, i love the Intro, so nice hearing a good melody and some proper songwriting. The drop fits well to. I dont like your bassdrum to much, sounds to midi. So nice to see a good form in your music, its not boring to listen to at all. Very progressive.
I think the thing i liked the least is that it sound to much midi and not big enough and not up there with the great guys. But The whole song has a great form and great quality of songwriting, And that gets you a long way.

DJAccel, thanks for the feedback. I thought the cymbals may have too much, but I can never gauge these things myself – that's why I needed you guys! But you would describe it more as house huh? I'll take it.
Aleksander, thanks for the opera referrals, I'm going to check these guys out. Opera would be really cool on a hip hop beat.
I'll try to fix the midi sounds, maybe export each track as wav files and rearrange? It's funny you said the kick sounded midi because the drums were the only real sampled part of the track! Thanks for the positive feedback man
