E-MU 0202 audio interface problem

Hey
Recently I've been having these problems with my interface. It randomly overdrives the signal whenever I use the DAW (ableton).
It works fine again when I change the buffer rate. (I usualy work at 10ms).
Has anyone had a similar problem?
Please help :(

What buffer rate do you have to set to get proper operation? Did you notice the problem after some change was made, such as new hardware or software update?

I switched from FL Studio to Ableton in which these random distortions started bothering me.
But recently they have been more frequent.
I work at 10ms buffer rate but it happens on every parameter. When it happens, I switch from 10ms to 12 ms and so on.

May it be that my comp is too overloaded?

What kinda cpu and how much ram in your 'puter? I think ableton likes at least 2gb of ram. I don't know, I've got an 0404 but haven't had this particular problem.

I have 4gb ram and 2.3 ghz intel i5 processor.
It pisses me off, I can't perform on this laptop live..
