I started working on this tune with Datsik in mind. I'm kinda stuck though

I like this man. Drop and bass are great and you've really got the Datsik sound down! Maybe try using a bit more of the spectrum though as the song goes from all highs then straight to lows. Try incorporating your intro/melody in with the bass parts. This could be a great track though dude keep it up!

I layered a couple different snares and then used Ableton's vocoder to give it the long noise tail.

I got rid of that intro. As much as I do like the happy vibe, it just doesn't work for this hahaha. I'm working on a different melody for it.

exactly... the intro definitely does not fit
