^^ My thinking on the matter...plus the difficulty with such a polarised scene is with favouring one style over the other.

Don't enjoy the brostep stuff, but yeah might be good to see some alternative production techniques

Next question is...who?

Let's assume that the big names (Porter Robinson, Skrillex, Feed Me etc probably aren't going to be available)

I would say Downlink might be a good candidate considering he comes on here once every while I'm pretty sure.

Voted for 'no'. I think as much as that sort of stuff appears to be widely appreciated it's also widely disliked. Like others have said it'd ok to see how some of that stuff is made, though I think getting an artist makes music that less people find abrasive would be better, just my 2 pence.

Koansound have been approached in the past, however they have a lot going on and weren't able to commit last time I spoke to them.

As per my comments re; the polarity of the scene, it'll be hard to find a producer that appeals to everyone. You could argue that jump up fans might find deep producers boring, Dungeon fans might dislike bro producers, Dungeon is pretty well catered for as it's just slowed down neurofunk and wanky wanky sound design etc etc.

Yup for the poeple who aren't into that kind of music it shows other ways of working,

And for the guys who do like that music then I'm sure they'll appreciate it somewhat. :D

Not to mention it will be a great thread to point to for years to come whenever we get the (how to make complextro, screech sounds) threads :6:

Yeah I appreciate there will be no artist that appeals to everyone, I just think although an insight into different styles of production is a good thing, the style in question is not promoting what I personally think are decent production values, but like I said that's just me, and I'm sure there's a load of people that will enjoy it so although I vote no, that's just for me, for all the other people who enjoy it then i'm all for it, knowledge is for sharing and I know peeps on here would love to know. Yeah agreed if dungeon is what your into then there's plenty online already that's applicable!
