Post by clayrocks » Wed Jun 27, 2012 6:25 pm

Hi everyone,
Me and clorviolt have collaborated and here is our track which just needs a bit of tweaking. Its mainly influenced by liquid and chill styles.

Epic intro is epic. Lovely Chords. If one thing, the piano sounds a little well plastic. You know how to write songs thats for sure.

The downpart is that i think the mixing sounds a little to muddy. I miss Clear sound.

Ok thanks :) as clorviolt is mixing this i'll tell him to split the frequencies on some elements to make it less muddier.

Yeah It's a good song, again the only thing really letting it down is it seems too squished and muddy. Those drums can definitely to with being a bit more brighter. Nice song tho

Hello there:) I agree the drums are too heavy for the song. I'm going to rework on them.
Thanks!

EDIT:

Here's a new set of drums on the chorus, what do you guys think? They're more airy & light.

I think the intro could use just a bit more space (delay/verb) to blend better when the first sections of drums come in. Like the change of energy when the other synths come in. Sidechaining is well. Watch some of those higher harmonics. A bit of EQ would make them less piercing. The emotion is well conveyed and the chill out mood is great. lovely. Outtro is epic. really. Nice.

Thanks for feedback, some EQ'ing has been done since this version, so you hit the spot with that:) We'll still need some time with this, especially with mixing/mastering, but I'm happy you noticed the chilly atmosphere we were looking for.
It's supposed to be chill with a great emphasis on the chorus that kind of implodes the whole track around.

Think of it as a journey through the skies with lots of different particles floating around and stuff haha!

Any notes on the new drums? The drum sample above also has all the elements we've changed, like new EQ'ing and stuff, i hope it doesn't sound as piercing anymore!
