having some problems with ableton's key mapping

Post by sylphin » Sat Jul 07, 2012 2:50 pm

so ive made a pretty ghetto ass setup on ableton, using an xbox 360 pad to jam out a techno tetris remix... dont ask... im using xpadder to send KEY messages to ableton, this was working fine all day until it suddenly decided to become a pain the arse.

basically it keeps launching random clips and stopping them in a split second, it does it while im playing and when left idle, whenever it happens the little square in the top right corner indicating a keyboard input flashed, however no such signal comes up in xpadder, so the controller itself isnt randomly sending commands of its own accord, but ableton is getting sporadic commands form somewhere =/

im running a windows laptop, i do have a wireless mouse and keyboard with my laptop, could this be causing some interference? its very irritating as im trying to setup my set and practice for an upcoming show,!

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you.

search for diy midi controller and you will see that alot of them use joysticks as the base. Look for the software they use to convert the joysticks HID signals to midi
