How would one go about recreating 00:31 - 00:32, the bass kinda sounds like it trips over itself. Is it just modulated LFO speed arranged a certain way?

I think it's just automated LFO rate, could be wrong though.. and a bit of Crazy D lol

Sounds more to me like the bassline has been resampled and then a small section looped
