So i was browsing the remix comperitions on inaba and I found this Bon Iver one that listed granular synthesis as one of the effects on the piano track

Yeah, Bon Iver use quite a few techniques that you normally don't hear in "mainstream" music, one of the reasons why I love them. But then again, they aren't really all that mainstream yet, they've really only blown up in popularity in the past couple years.
