August’s Ritual line-up brings you two Auckland stalwarts of the scene and a DMZ worship set, aptly timed with Northern Bass’ announcement of Digital Mystikz’s return to New Zealand over the New Year festival period.
FUTURE ONE: The Auckland based producer & DJ comes out of hiding to play at our 10th edition. His credentials include releases on Optimus Gryme Recordings in 2008 (NZ’s first Dubstep vinyl pressing) and Each & Every Records’ “Every Day Dubs” (NZ’s debut dubstep compilation) in 2009, as well as supporting the likes of Loefah, N-Type, DJ Chef, Coki, Plastician, Tes La Rok, Caspa and more.
LOWQUID: This man specializes in playing a variety of bass focused music and its this approach that has seen him support a boatload of international acts such as Kode9, Samiyam, Digital Mystikz and Harmonic 313. Expect to be bombarded by hyper-swag hits and rap beats, then swoop to the lower depths of footwork hybrids and cosmic halfstep, as he debuts with his first Video DJ set ever!
DMZ WORSHIP SET: Jay Are & Pimms are going to dip into their vinyl vaults for a very special tribute set to DMZ. ‘Nuf said.
