Post by Eu41aDubstep » Wed Aug 15, 2012 5:19 am

Made mad scientist in one day. Honestly really proud of it should have more views right now. Ignite was made in 2 days. Only been producing for 2 months. Give it a listen youll be surprised. Feedback is much appreciated. Follow on soundcloud if you like what you hear. ill be sure to return the favor.

il like m both. if your producing only 2 months you will get there. both tracks need more eq though to give space to each part in the mix

thanks man. I really like that track. The atmosphere is great. Thats the style i'm trying to go for kinda like old school reggae ish with dirty sounds. And as far as eq goes every time i raise the low end especially on the bass i tend to lose the kick drum. In these tracks im sidechaining the bass through the mixer. If theres a better way to do it or a way to raise the eq without compromising the kick i'd really like to know how to do that.

To help a bit your using to much compression (Or maximizer) everything is highly compressed, you need to bring that down allot and only use little bits of it so you keep the dynamics / clarity good. (Everything is squashed)

Otherwise for a new producer you have potential and you will keep learning.

i can fix this by giving each instrument its one zone in the eq right? cuz i went back and kinda remastered the track by tampering with the parametric eq2 it sounds a lot richer and more evenly mixed
