Elevate Festival 2012

With the full festival line-up featuring over 100 first class panelists, speakers and artists each year, the Elevate Festival unveils its first line-up announcement for its 8th edition exactly in time for the presale start. The festival runs from 24 - 28 October in and around Graz' Schlossberg and once again features a rich programme of discussions, lectures and screenings, this time under the motto „Elevate the Apocalypse?“.

A diverse line-up of local and international acts from both dance and experimental music scenes, as well as a series of unique literature performances, make for an exciting arts & music programme.

This year will also see the Elevate Awards being handed for the first time to individuals, initiatives and projects who contributed to the society in a specially innovative and effective way.

Elevate on Tour

In the run-up to its eighth edition, the Elevate Festival will visit a few selected shows and festivals within this year's tour:

The tour kicks off on the 8th of September at Dimensions Festival, as part of the Festival' boat parties. The Elevate Boat will welcome Graz's Simon/off and doze, who will be joined by UK's Addison Groove and Seiji, as well as the dutch producer A Made Up Sound/2562.

Next stop will be Bozen in South Tyrol at the famous Transart Festival, where Elevate hosts an evening on the 28th of September featuring the US house legend Theo Parrish, Austria's Dorian Concept, Ogris Debris and F. Puschmann, as well as Italy's David Silver. Graz's luX will take care of the visuals.

On September 29th Elevate joins forces with Forum Stadtpark for the second "Elevate Tripledecker” in Graz, presenting a line-up of both national and international acts to perform on all three floors of the venue. Line up will include Luise Pop (AT), Lil Silva (UK), Knalpot (NL), A Thousand Fuegos (AT), MMoths (IE), Point (AT), Bitz & Bogdo (AT), fontarrian (AT), B.L.O. (AT), flying fvck (AT), Columbush & Adriana Celentana (AT) und [mo:ya] (AT). Furthermore Kathrin Hartmann will present her new book „Wir müssen leider draußen bleiben- Die neue Armut in der Konsumgesellschaft“ in cooperation with Attac Graz. Max Höfler will team up with zweite liga für kunst und kultur to get to the bottom of this year's festival theme – “Elevate The Apocalypse?”
