Give it a go...and no cheating. I SAID NO CHEATING!
So???
I'm starting the 100 push up challenge and only managed 6 consecutive on my initial test (with push up bars/handles).
Gonna use this thread to track my progress as it might give me an incentive to continue as I have a habit of not finishing my workout routines (hence the poor result.)
I have 6 weeks to complete 100. If i don't bump this thread with my results every other day it means i'm slacking so feel free to bump it for me and tell me how lazy I am.
I do 15 each night just to balance out hunching my shoulders over a PC all day, so could probably get to 20 or 25 at a real push. Not gonna lie 100 sounds pretty fucking torturous!
I'm gonna give it a go tonight just to see how far I get.

Thankfully the 100 aren't consecutive, its done in sets with 30 second breaks in between. But the idea is that after following the course you should be able to perform close to 100 with not trouble. Or at least more than 6 haha
So good stuff wub, you are practically there mate.
Some of the fitness magazines have had a big drive on this recently, to the point where the encourage people to make videos of themselves doing 100 pushups in different places;

@wub Since you are practically there already perhaps try and shorten yours rests down to 30 seconds and then 15 and then see if you can do them all without a break. Id be interested to see how many you can do without stopping.
That guy in the video looks like he didnt perform a full press up. Im using handles and go all the way down. No wonder I only did 6 lol

I'll bear it in mind next time I switch up my program

By all means continue to do what you are doing, I was just interested to know how many you could do consecutively as you already seem well trained. Just wanted a good benchmark to gauge my own progress.

did the same challange last year. never got past week 5 (most people don't...so don't get frustrated). might pick it up again soon since i haven't been working out in over 6 months.
