Wonderfully crafted ambiance, I think it's a very good balance. :D

It is a track, but I believe you still need to work on the sounds a little further - Make them tangible! Maybe use a 'colourful' compressor like the 1176? Or simply dig into your synth a little deeper?

The vocal sample is far too loud at begining, this being refernced to what else is going on, at that time.

I do also believe that the drums need some attention, their simply a little distant then I would have liked to hear.

I like the automated sidechain compressed synth around 02:40 - Unless I'm hearing things - too much sun? haha Nice touch, subtle but taken away it would be noticeable - Like it!

Really not sure about the double time drums at 01:50, to me it feels somewhat sudden almost interupting the melifluous flow, I would've like to have had a quick (first one every beat, then four in a bar, then 8-16 etc - The standard 'build') BD low pass filtered in before such double time?

Might be nice to have some distant sung vocals? Nothing drastic, nice and simple - maybe even a stereo delay with 1/4 and 1/8 times respectively? The vocal concept could then play into the stabs you got going?

Hope this helps?

nice work! i agree with the post above that some of the synths seem a little too far in the background, it almost sounds like they take a backseat to the bass but that's unnecessary because they don't share the same range of frequencies. i think that adding some compression to the sweeping pads and other synth sounds would help bring them out a little more in the mix. the song doesn't sound muddy like there's overlapping frequencies but have you EQ'ed a designated range for each sound in the mix? if not then some careful EQ'ing might help bring some of those nice "mood-setting" atmospheric synth sounds out a bit more. i like your style :)

Wow outstanding critique! I really appreciate the info. Yes I did side chain multiple synths. I been thinking about doing up a video on that since I do not think many guys do it. But in short I am glad somebody noticed that:-)

I will see about fine tuning it some more. The voices need some work perhaps:-)
