Newport dubstep night

Hi im currently trying to arange a regula dubstep night in southwales, at the moment it looks like its gunna be in newport but not sure yet, bassicaly im looking for anybody local the would like to help with ether organising or djing

Im only just up the M4 too, always up for travelling back to the motherland even if its Newport

i'm gonna be in bristol by october but that'll be much closer to newport than i am now in west wales

martin you organising anything dubwise at the moment?

it may be in cardiif or zooport, i havnt finalised a venue yet so c wot happens

I'm a producer and Dj studying in Newport and I will be bang up for helping out, I also have been working on a 4500w soundsystem which i can obtain easily, next month i'm hoping to get some 18inchers, but i won't have amps for them for a while...

Newports a bit of a touch and go location though don't you think - but all the fresh students will be coming soon - just thinking about cost, some clubs might allow you to take on the door while they take on the bar - but most i imagine would be more greedy, have you looked at locations at all?

went to see Skream last night (got in for free lol ((£10????))) i wonder how much it was to book him? there was an average sized crowd there though (but what a shit system!!) i think the system is probably more important than the venue!! so long as the place doesn't fill with c h a v s

By the way, Iffy the owner of Meze lounge and Mojo's sent me an E-mail a couple of days ago which stated he wanted to start a dubstep night and was asking me to contact him...

I'm definately getting involved with whatever is going - Newport is my home and I seriously need the funding.
