The only place I have gotten any success with was ThisSongSlaps.com, as they have a 2$ donation fee required when you submit a track. While this seems like some bullshit, it's really not a ton of money, helps a good website which really needs the money AND guarantees that your song will be listened to and at the very least will get comments left on it on soundcloud. I was lucky enough to actually get my track featured on the site, and it just broke 10,000 hits a few days ago.
Not trying to toot my own horn here, just wanted to share so that you who may be in a similar position to me are aware of this pretty cool opportunity. However, I digress. Back to the main point.
I have come to a decision that the best course of action for me would be to contact and secure a Manager/Talent Agent/something of the sorts... At least to me, this seems like the best way to go because I feel like they are a bit more accessible than labels and also will be much more credible (hopefully) when confronting Labels/booking gigs/etc. Is this a bad way to go? If not, where's a good place to start looking? Anyone have a agency they're with/ones that you like or would suggest?
Hope this isn't the next nominee for "Most Reposted Topic of 2012"
Thanks,
Sam
