Gnesa - Wilder (How did they get such a tight production?)

Post by ArrenMog » Thu Oct 18, 2012 5:04 pm

Was just wondering if anyone was able to shed any light on how they got such a tight production here? I have tried time and time again to get my snare to sit in the mix as well as this but I just can't ever seem to do it, not to mention how on earth they manage to get such full sounding pads? mine always sound so thin after EQing was wondering if anyone knew how it was done?

I'm working with a vocalist soon and want any advice you guys can give on how they manage to get the vocals to cut through in the verses so damn well?

Cheers! :)

I don't know man, I'm seeing the same techniques pop up here and there. That Taylor Swift tune had a similiar thing going on, and it's not just the mixdown, all the sound designs are right on point too. Maybe they've got the same ghost producer as Skrillex?

Man I don't who the producer is but you're right the sound design is amazing, I think they literally must have used presets because I know for sure I couldn't make something as warm sounding as that!

The producer on this track is pure genius!

The riff that starts at 1:50 sounds unhinged.
