Recording with CDJ 400, DJM 400 and Saffire Pro 14

Post by Barjent » Mon Oct 22, 2012 3:47 pm

I am currently having issues trying to connect my decks up to my Imac and traktor Pro 2.

I currently have Pioneer CDJ 400 x2 and a DJM 400. My audio interface is a Saffire Pro 14. I can control my CDJ's through the usb cable but i would like to know how i could get my DJM 400 to controll the mixer interface. If there is a alternative to recording please could someone help?

Really need help as i want to record my mixes now.

I think you can only use the mixer if you're using the control CDs... unless it has USB out.

You can't, It's a analogue only mixer.

haha that's not gonna happen. why would you want to diddle your computer when you could be diddling your mixer? Or do you want your diddlings to show up on the virtual mixer?

Urgent Recording Help

Post by Barjent » Wed Oct 24, 2012 8:36 am

Hi Everyone,

I have been mixing for a while now and my setup is a Pioneer CDJ 400 x2 and a DJM 400, Now i have a Focusrite Saffire pro 14 and KRK 6" and a Imac.
My Audio interface works perfectly with my IMAC but i would like to record my mixes on my IMCA through my Audio interface. I run the KRK via XLR cables in to the audio interface. How would i get the DJM 400 to connect to the audio interface and the krk and be able to Record it.

There is a Mixing comp up and i would much appreciate any help i could get from someone please.

run audio into your interface from the mixer. open audacity. if you don't have it, get it. select the interface in preferences as the recording device. hit record. play your mix. export mix from audacity.
