Prodigy sample sources

Post by deadly_habit » Wed Oct 31, 2012 6:55 pm

Heh I was just looking for what break was used in Smack my Bitch Up and came across this site, and also realized I owned a ton of samples Liam used.

I own a ton of Ultramagnetic MCs, but this plate just for the break and the vocals on old shit made me recheck shit again

Anyone done any great crate digging lately?

Not exactly crate digging, but finally went through all the sample CDs that came with my EMU, found a lot of familiar stuff.

And I have about 400~500 records given to me that I need to go through, a lot of disco, soul and rock. I think that's going to be my winter break project (two weeks off from work).

There's a video on youtube of a guy who re-creates smack my bitch up from scratch, using all the samples and showing how it's done. It's pretty freakin' amazing, tbh.

I had seen and liked that second vid before. I think there was thing where they said it was Ultramagnetic MCs but was actually UMCs or the other way around if that's why you couldn't find it.

Bronze Nazareth (wu affiliated) using the same sample as next episode is one that sticks out most from recent memory.

Was released shortly before Dre's 2001, I think. And 2-Mex had one with the sample before that too.
