Getting the big barky whomps - Chewie/antiserum style

I've been working for ages to get those big, barky sounds. i have gotten extremely close by using bandpass/bandreject filters in massive, and have had great luck using frequency shifter to get more vocal sounds. i also have had good luck using the wow filter on format mode to take it even further. as i said i get close but cant it sounding powerfull.

thanks, i know this is kinda a "help make make this sound" type post but im more interested in the theory behind these sounds.

in using massive btw along with other distortion effects in the chain, but have been resampling into ableton's sampler for more processing.

sweet, virus looks sick but just about outta my price range. i feel like my barks just dont have enough bite to them.... the multiband compression has helped but i feel like i still have a long way to go
