First up is EAN, the solo project of one half of the critically acclaimed Various Production (XL Records). Recently signed to Om Unit's Cosmic Bridge label, EAN creates and plays deep, rolling, footwork-inspired sound system music. He has remixed past DROP headliners such as Om Unit and XLII, contributed to Project Mooncircle's recent 10th anniversary compilation and engineered Ghost Poet's Mercury Prize-nominated debut album Peanut Butter Blues And Melancholy Jam.
He will be joined by Brighton's Manni Dee, who has recently released a collaborative EP with previous DROP headliner Deft on Seclusiasis Records. Fresh from supporting Ital Tek, Ras G and Kutmah, expect to hear him tear up all kinds of tempos at Sophbeck!
Our third guest is Birmingham's Helix The Spacecat. A regular at DROP, Helix always amazes us with his diverse selections of Madlib and J Dilla-esque beats, deep dnb, footwork and rolling bass music. Expect to hear him dropping some of his own beats, which have recently had support from Kutmah on the Boilerroom!
DROP resident and 2 x UK and World Online DMC Finalist Jon1st will also be playing a diverse selection of beats across all manner of tempos, fresh from supporting Lord Finesse, JJ Doom and more!
