Dubstep wanted for pilot TV show
Basically, we need to get a hold of some dubstep. Stuff that is raw and even stuff that has been released before.
My guy out in South Africa has landed a deal doing a drift racing series, but it needs submitted music for it, rather than library music.
Here is a permalink for the promo demo that got my man the job. This is a bit top end quality with some supplied music, but it gives you an idea and at the end of the day, it won the bid. Speculate to accumulate and all that!
http://vimeo.com/channels/unleashed/42791096
So, it is already into episode 3 of Series 1. The deal is for 3 years with other work coming out of it etc.
The budget for this Series is minimal, as in, not happening. At the moment, the current episodes are not as clean as the demo bid link you see, it's a lot lower budget, but things will only get better.
I am going to do the intro and outro theme track now and what is needed is the following.
1. About 8-10 tracks an episode. These tracks will feature in and out throughout the show, under the commentator, while racing etc. So, it's not full tracks, just parts that are apt. The promo link above gives an idea, why dubstep/breaks etc will work. However, it can't have vocals. If a track has vocals, then we would only use the parts that doesnt have it. The tracks have to be original. Just need to get this amount of tracks, don’t matter if you supply one or ten….
2. For just now, the submitted tracks only get a credit mention at the end. There is no mechanical rights claim, as the track listing isn't submitted from the TV company. But, really soon there will have a cheeky budget that would involve more sound to picture, so it will be a nice little regular earner.
The key to this is when the next episode happens, all involved will be the first point of call.
I just need tracks submitted with an Artist name and also a Track title. Label info also if relevant.
This is a great opportunity for folks that need a submission to get with PRS or the likes, as it proves a track has been play listed. It is also great for folks that have music and would like a bit of exposure.
The quality has to be tight though ☺
Any questions, email hq@zendell.biz
Or, submit something and we will get you on.
Nice one.

Moving this to the Production forum, you might get more hits there.
Guys - this seems legit to me, so try and keep the banter to a minimum please.

Re: Dubstep wanted for pilot TV show
Hey, this looks good. Good luck on the show guys. Would it be okay for us to release the track for free on say soundcloud as well?
Really swamped with stuff atm but I'd love to send something your way if I get the chance!

Freshest track atm.
Re: Dubstep wanted for pilot TV show
A couple questions. Do you have a preferred method of submission? Is there any sort of deadline that has to be met?
This looks like a great opportunity, and I will definitely be working on some stuff to send your way. Thanks.

Re: Dubstep wanted for pilot TV show
Folks.
Respect. I have just got in........these Olympics are madness, and going through stuff now.
All you guys above this thread, including Blangk, Skin E and Trible - nice one.
I am going to have to duck out taking anything else in, as I think this first show will have enough! I need to get this all dubbed down and sent across. I will put up a link to the sound to picture intro as well what we done - ain't nothing special, just sweet to give the show an ident. (Damn, I hope I remember!)
I do remember if you get me by direct email though
On another note, our DJ is reppin' the UK in all the DMC world championships this year, Ritchie Ruftone. Could be some battle weapon productions need to.....I know he loves cutting up wub wub's. I can put you in touch direct.
Once again. Respects. Believe.

Re: Dubstep wanted for pilot TV show
I forgot, any questions, as mentioned at the top, send an email to hq@zendell.biz
Submissions are just straight up wav - to save joining drop boxes etc, just zip it up and email to hq@zendell.biz
Got to have your Artist name and Title of track though, even label if relevant - otherwise there is nothing gained. Then, if you need to submit to PRS, we can help you provide the proof etc - then your in the realm of publishing

Re: Dubstep wanted for pilot TV show
Beautiful. Thanks to all that have taken time to run things offline to the email address and dropped in the audio.
Being a new face to DSF - I would like to give absolute homage to all that invest there time keeping it 'reole and also to the moderators for pushing this plea out to the correct sector.
This will be, not could be, something in the making. As I only mentioned 'credits' at the end are only available and mechanical rights in Africa have gone pair shaped - it ain't over.
As a business, we have done a lot of work out there for TV and it's all been gravy - it is just this particular client producer/channel that have issues in providing submissions, as they have been burned. However, I think we will change this with the submissions provided. These cats will have a very well rounded delivery that is so versatile that will make them have to follow the rules.
Speculate to accumulate baby!
(I would close this post, but I can't see the button!, so if any moderator out there can freeze this thing, then much appreciated!)

Dubstep wanted for pilot TV show
Hi all,
Basically, thanks a lot for giving us audio for the last couple of shows. Basically there is one more show before the series finishes. Then, the production steps up a gear.
So, doing another trawl!
Would be really cool if you guys can send some more over, or give a link to download. Full credits etc will be given etc.
Email me at hq@zendell.biz
Cheers

Re: Dubstep wanted for pilot TV show
Gee,
Thanks guys. Got tons sent in by email.
Going to have to stop as there is already too many for the last 2 shows!
It seems we have done the damage over there though, as they are loving the sound overall and post-production mix-down.
I feel really confident now that we will get the deal for the start of the next series in Feb 2013.
So, I have the emails now of all that have sent through and all that have provided before and will defo keep in touch. After all - besides the bits and bobs I am doing throughout the show, the main energy is from your submissions!
Love ya!
