Soundcard Issues on XP 64bit

Post by slim » Thu Aug 16, 2007 12:18 am

I recently bought a fairly hefty PC (for next to nothing as well) to begin producing on, i have been messing around on my laptop for a fair while, but the constant dropouts and crashing and all sorts of pain it was giving me led me to get a kick-ass PC. Sadly it runs on the 64 bit version of windows XP.

My M-Audio Audiophile USB soundcard won't run on it at present as they haven't yet released drivers for it, and their tech support team were about as helpful as being shot in the face and wouldn't tell me of any plans to release beta drivers.

Anyone know of decent 3rd party sites or ways around this problem, short of buying another soundcard? Even better, anyone had the same problem and have a driver they could send me? I am going mad.

bit of a shot in the dark but you could try the ASIO4ALL driver (google it) apart from that sell your soundcard and get a 64 bit compatible one

or you could get Vista....actaully no don't bother
